1. Membership Eligibility
Membership is available to individuals aged 16 and over.
Proof of age and identity may be required.
Membership is non-transferable.
Membership cards must be presented upon arrival to Halcyon and to avail of member privileges/benefits.
2. Membership Types
Membership entitles access only during published opening hours.
Membership is annual, with a fee of €1,500 per year (€125 per month) or €2,800 per couple.
Membership begins in January 2026
3. Fees and Payments
Membership fees are payable in advance by card, cash or other approved methods.
All fees are subject to change with reasonable notice.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension or termination of membership.
Fees are non-refundable

5. Use of Facilities
Members must comply with all Halcyon rules, safety notices, and staff instructions.
Certain facilities, or services may require advance booking or additional charges.
Halcyon reserves the right to restrict or refuse access if maximum capacity is reached.
6. Health & Safety
Members should seek medical advice before starting any exercise programme.
Members confirm they are medically fit to participate in physical activities upon sign up.
Halcyon is not responsible for injuries caused by improper use of equipment or failure to follow instructions.
7. Conduct
Members must behave respectfully towards staff and other users.
Abusive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate termination without refund.
Alcohol, drugs, and smoking are not prohibited on the premises.
8. Personal Belongings
Lockers are provided for temporary use only.
The Leisure Centre accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
9. Changes to Facilities and Services
Facilities may be closed temporarily for maintenance, repairs, or events.
10. Data Protection
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and the Leisure Centre’s Privacy Policy.
Member information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where legally required.
11. Amendments
Halcyon and Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions with reasonable notice.
12. Acceptance
By joining Halcyon at Killarney Plaza Hotel, members confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
13. Safety & Hygiene
Members must follow all safety signs, rules, and staff instructions at all times.
Any accident, injury, or unsafe condition must be reported to staff immediately.
Emergency exits and equipment must remain unobstructed.
Members should consult a medical professional before starting any exercise program.
Warm-up and cool-down before and after physical activity is recommended.
Use equipment only for its intended purpose and according to instructions.
Stop exercising immediately if you feel dizzy, unwell, or experience pain.
The use of photographic equipment of any kind - cameras, video recorders, mobile phones is not permitted in the club area.
All persons using the gym must comply with all instructions from staff members. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the gym.
Members and guests are not permitted to use personal trainers, fitness coaches, gym coaches etc. who are not employed directly by Halcyon.
The management may withdraw use of all or part of the facilities of the club for the purpose of undertaking maintenance work or any other works considered necessary. Compensation of any kind will not be given for such closure.
Under 16's are not permitted in the gym area at any time.
14. Equipment Use
Members must use equipment safely and return it after use.
Faulty or damaged equipment must not be used and should be reported to staff.
Members must wear clean, appropriate sports clothing and footwear.
A towel must be used on all shared equipment and seating areas.
Equipment must be wiped down with provided cleaning materials after use.
Personal hygiene should be maintained at all times for the comfort of others.
Changing areas must be kept clean and tidy.
Glass containers are not permitted in changing rooms or showers.
Shower before using pools, spas, or sauna facilities.
Pool rules must be followed at all times.
Appropriate swimwear is required.
Running, diving, or rough play is prohibited.
